Jyväskylä is a compact city and one which is easy to cover on foot, by bike or by bus. If you wish to travel beyond the city centre, simply jump on a local bus – look for the Linkki logo. All local buses travel to and from the outdoor terminal on Vapaudenkatu, which is located between Asema-aukio square and Forum shopping centre.
In Jyväskylä you can travel on a local bus using a single ticket that can be purchased from the driver (price in 2015: adults 3.00 €) or a one-day travel card. One-day travel cards can only be purchased from designated sales points, not on the buses themselves. These sales points are Linkki customer service (Jyväskylä info, Forum shopping centre), Sokos info point (Kauppakatu 24) or the ticket office at the Travel Centre rail/coach interchange (Hannikaisenkatu 20).

If you need a taxi, simply order one by calling +358 100 6900. Taxi ranks can be found at the Travel Centre rail/coach interchange, Church Park (Kirkkopuisto/Kauppakatu) and the market square (Kauppatori). In Finland it is difficult to pick up a taxi on the fly.
